This multi award-winning tented safari camp offers a classic wilderness and wildlife experience inside the world famous Hwange National Park. A member of Classic Safari Camps of Africa, it offers a superb base from which to discover the bush with its highly experienced guides. The 10 elegant, canvas en-suite tents under thatch, all overlook the waterhole. For the more adventurous a sleep out in the romantic treetop ‘Dove’s Nest’ is a must. Tom’s Little Hide offers three large luxury en-suite rooms, suitable for small groups or families. The en-suite bathrooms have bathtub, indoor and outdoor shower. The spacious bedrooms are tastefully furnished with solid Zimbabwe teak furniture and ceiling fans. The Private Hide is an exclusive-use experience for up to six adults and four children of any age, with private lounge, dining, plunge pool and game vehicle. Children from 10 years are welcome at the main lodge.
Full Itinerary
Day 1 - Hwange National Park
On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. At the entrance to the Park, you will be met by a representative from The Hide Safari Camp and continue with your game drive transfer through the Hwange National Park to the camp. (D)
The Hide Safari Camp is the product of our passion for nature in general, and Hwange National Park in particular. Built in 1992 by the Preston family, who remain deeply involved to this day. The Hide Safari Camp has earned its reputation as a consummate safari destination, for both the exceptional wildlife experience and the hospitality it offers. You will stay in one of just ten beautiful tented suites with views over the waterhole, where animals congregate day and night. Between game drives and walks in the National Park, there is plenty of time to relax in a comfortable lounge or sit quietly in a hide to watch the wildlife. After meals all together around a giant table or al-fresco under the Acacia trees, you can spend a lazy afternoon by the plunge pool or in the shade of your veranda.
Day 2 - Hwange National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities. (BLD)
Day 3 - End of The Hide Safari Camp Stay
Game drive transfer to the Hwange National Park gate to meet your scheduled road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. (B)
