Visa Update for New Zealanders Travelling to South Africa

Visa Waivers for New Zealand

It is with great excitement that we can officially announce that the South African Department of Home Affairs has decided to eliminate the need for New Zealanders to obtain a visa for leisure travel to South Africa.

The waiver will take effect on 15 August 2019. Therefore, ordinary passport holders of New Zealand will not need visas to enter South Africa for holiday purposes and business visits for a period up to 90 days as from 15 August 2019.
