Today enjoy a privately guided full day tour with your Egyptologist to the ancient capital Memphis and burial ground of Sakkara, located southwest of Cairo. After lunch at a traditional restaurant you will visit the Pyramids of Giza, considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the mysterious Sphinx, carved from a single block of stone. (BL)
Day 3 - Nile Cruise
Today you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. (BLD)

On arrival at Aswan Airport you will continue onto your excursion by air to Abu Simbel (included). View the wonders of this amazing temple built by Ramses II and relocated piece by piece in the 1960’s for preservation from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Return to Aswan, and on arrival transfer to the Sonesta St. George Cruise Ship.
Day 4 - Nile Cruise
Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the twin temples – one side dedicated to the Crocodile God Sobek, God of Fertility and Creator of the World and Horus, the falcon God. After lunch sail via Edfu to Esna. (BLD)
Day 5 - Nile Cruise
This morning sail to Luxor. After lunch, visit the impressive Karnak and Luxor Temples. Built over a period of two millennia by generations of pharaohs, the Temple of Karnak was dedicated to the God Amun. Proceed to the Temple of Luxor, once connected to Karnak via the Avenue of Human-headed Sphinxes. Overnight onboard. (BLD)
Day 6 - Nile Cruise
This morning transfer to the West Bank. Visit the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs including King Tutankhamun’s tomb. This is followed by a visit to Queen Hatshepsut’s temple and a stop at the Colossus of Memnon. This afternoon is at leisure. Overnight onboard. (BLD)
Day 7 - Nile Cruise
Early this morning there is the opportunity of rising at dawn to take a hot air balloon flight over Luxor (at own expense). After lunch sail to Esna. Overnight onboard. (BLD)
Day 8 - Nile Cruise
This morning sail to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Horus, the best Greek-built preserved temple of the ancient world, dedicated to the Falcon God. Later, sail to Kom Ombo. Overnight onboard. (BLD)
Day 9 - Nile Cruise
Sail to Aswan and visit the Aswan High Dam, and the majestic Philae Temple. After lunch, sail on the Nile by felucca around Kitchener’s Island. Overnight onboard. (BLD)
Day 10 - Cairo
After breakfast, disembark and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. (B)
