This is your opportunity to sleep in one of the most unique bedrooms in the world… The Manta Resort’s Underwater Room. Take a short flight from Zanzibar to Pemba Island and continue north by road to The Manta Resort. Your stay here includes five nights in a Seafront Villa and one night in the spectacular Underwater Room. The Underwater Room lies approximately 250 metres from the shore, in the crystal clear waters of the marine conservation area. You will then be left alone to enjoy your new surroundings. Your stay here isn’t about 5 star luxury, it’s about a 5 star (or ‘elephant’) experience.

Trip itinerary

Day 1

Today you will fly from Zanzibar Airport to Pemba Island and on landing will be met and transferred to the resort. (D)

Accommodation: 6 nights The Manta Resort.

The Manta Resort offers something different from most tropical islands — it’s not about five-star luxury. If it’s serenity, close encounters with nature and a family of staff you crave, The Manta Resort is the place for you. Switch off the noisy, polluted electronic world and enter a completely different one, not as a tourist, but as a guest with simple needs: sunshine, fresh air, natural food, a comfortable bed and friendly company.

From the moment you arrive, your every conceivable activity and service during your stay will be Fully Inclusive (with the exception of diving and outside tours). You will have your own service fundi – a member of staff assigned to assist you personally – even perhaps to take you on visits to his village to meet relatives – if you so wish.

Day 2 - 6

Enjoy the activities that are provided by the resort or you can just relax on the beach and enjoy the serenity of island life. If you are a bit more adventurous the report staff can organise excursions or diving at an additional cost. (BLD)

Included in your package is 5 nights in a Seafront Villa and 1 night in the spectacular Underwater Room.

Your journey will start with a short boat ride to the underwater room. The room lies approximately 250m from the shore, in the crystal clear waters of the marine conservation area. On arrival at the room, along with your service fundi and boat captain, you will get shown the ins and outs of your private floating island.

You will then be left alone to enjoy your new surroundings. A kayak, snorkel and fins will be provided. The underwater room lies in what is called the blue hole, which has some fantastic coral heads and an abundance of marine life.

After having sundowners on your preferred deck, dinner will be served at a pre-arranged time decided by you and your fundi. After dinner you will be left to yourselves. Breakfast will be served at a pre-arranged time. You will return to the resort at 11:00am.

Day 7

After enjoying a final breakfast you will be collected from the resort and transferred to the airport for your onward arrangements. (B)
