Thanda offers three unique products within the game reserve, each with their own style, atmosphere and appeal. Thanda Safari Lodge has nine luxurious bush suites, Villa iZulu is an exclusive bush residence and Thanda Tented Camp, with its 15 beautifully furnished tents, has been built in colonial safari-style structure best suited for guests who are searching for an authentic safari experience in style. Facilities include an intimate dining tent, outdoor boma, stylish lounge and pool for cool relief on hot summer days. Encounter an abundance of wildlife including the ‘Big Five’ and experience a 100-year-old ritual performed by Zulu warriors, offering you a glimpse of a powerful nation that still retains its deep traditions.

Trip itinerary

Day 1

On arrival at Durban Airport you will be met and transferred to your camp. (D)

Accommodation: 2 nights Thanda Tented Camp.

Thanda Tented Camp offers an authentic safari adventure with 15 luxury safari tents in an evocative bush setting, enhanced by flickering firelight and lanterns guiding your way at night. This is bush living as nature intended: open and inviting with unparalleled closeness to the bush, its sights, smells and sounds. Each of the tents has a private sun deck and en-suite canvas bathrooms. The shared areas include a large rim-flow pool, a spa tent, atmospheric Hemingway-style lounge and dining area featuring authentic African artworks.

Day 2

Enjoy scheduled game viewing activities. (BLD)

Day 3

After breakfast you will be transferred back to Durban Airport for your onward flight. (B)
