Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge is a phenomenal hideaway that is tucked quietly away in its own exclusive-use zone in the south-west of the reserve, home to the iconic “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard). The lodge comprises of 29 luxury rooms, including 11 family suites and three villas offering breathtaking, panoramic views of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, each with indoor and outdoor showers, private patios and some with plunge pools. Discover spectacular scenery and excellent game viewing in open 4X4 vehicles. Children of all ages are welcome.

Trip itinerary

Day 1

This morning you will be met in Johannesburg and transferred by road to your lodge for dinner and overnight. (D)

Accommodation: 2 nights Shepherd's Tree Game Lodge.

Situated within an exclusive use area in the heart of the malaria free Pilanesberg Game Reserve, a mere two hour drive from Johannesburg, and a short distance from Sun City, the luxurious lodge offers commanding views of the distant bushveld amphitheatre and is superbly positioned adjacent to the wilderness area. The design feature accommodates 13 family suites with shared lounge and patio, and four spacious executive suites with private lounge and patio. The facilities at this five star lodge include gourmet restaurant, casual lounge and bar, spacious entertainment deck with outdoor bar overlooking a spectacular rim-flow swimming pool. Children of all ages are welcome.

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD)

Day 3

After breakfast you will be transferred by road back to Johannesburg. (B)
