For sheer weight of number and species of animals, the Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably one of the world’s best and most rewarding safari experiences. The open grasslands offer excellent game spotting opportunities and the phenomena of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, together with the crossing of the Mara River, is one of the world’s most remarkable sights. Trip itinerary
On arrival at Nairobi Airport you will be met and transferred to your Hotel (approximately 17 KM / 0.5 - 1 hour).

Awake on your first morning in Kenya amid the hustle and bustle of its thriving capital, Nairobi. After breakfast depart Nairobi past the extinct Volcano of Mt Longonot and Suswa into the homelands of the Masai. The Masai Mara Game Reserve, located on Kenya’s southern border with Tanzania, constitutes the northern stretch of the Serengeti and has the richest concentration of animals in Kenya. Enjoy lunch and embark on your first game drive this afternoon (approximately 270 KM / 6 hours). (BLD)

Set along the banks of the Olare Orok river in the Masai Mara, Serenity Mara Legends offers a prime location to witness the spectacular seasonal migration. Rolling plains surrounding the camp teem with wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles during migration months, particularly July to Octobe , placing guests at the centre of this natural wonder.
The camp features elegant tents with en-suite facilities, permanent roofs, and private terraces overlooking the river. Beautiful grounds and a nearby river attract abundant birdlife, while amenities include a swimming pool, restaurant, and bar. Relax outside your tent and listen to the symphony of cicadas, tree frogs, and distant calls of wildlife under the African sky.
Spend today travelling through Kenya’s epic Masai Mara Game Reserve on game drives in search of Africa’s 'Big Five' (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo) with lunch taken back in camp. (BLD)
After breakfast, depart with a picnic lunch for another full day exploring the vast plans of the Masai Mara. Depending on where the migration is, you may witness some of Africa’s wildebeest and zebra herds cross the river, battling with crocodiles lying in wait, or lions and other predators that the herds attract at this time of year. To be lucky enough to see the migration crossing a river is the ultimate African game watching experience. Return to camp for dinner. (BLD)
Travel to Lake Elmenteita in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, a scenic soda lake known for seasonal flamingos and abundant birdlife. Surrounded by acacia woodlands and volcanic hills within the Soysambu Conservancy, the area offers stunning views and wildlife encounters. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive along the lake’s shores. (approximately 315KM / 7 hours). (BLD)
Accommodation: 2 nights Serena Elementeita
Set on the tranquil shores of Lake Elmenteita in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, this camp offers an idyllic setting within the Soysambu Conservancy. Surrounded by acacia woodlands and volcanic hills, the area is rich in wildlife and birdlife, including seasonal flocks of flamingos. Guests can relax by the swimming pool, enjoy dining at the restaurant and bar, and experience guided game drives for an unforgettable blend of comfort and nature.
Today after breakfast you will head to Lake Nakuru for a full day game experience with lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge before returning to camp for the night. (BLD).
Morning game drive in Soysambu Conservancy. After breakfast, depart Lake Elmenteita and travel back to Nairobi for lunch at Carnivore restaurant before the safari ends at the airport. (approximately 150 KM / 3 hours). (BL)
