On arrival at Lilongwe Airport you will be met and board your light aircraft transfer to Likoma Island. When landed you will be transferred to your accommodation. (LD)
Accommodation: 4Â nights Kaya Mawa.
Set among fine golden sand, mango trees and ancient baobabs, the Kaya Mawa reaps the spoils of a timeless seaside location. Relaxation is a key activity here, but not the only one. There are endless ways to make the most of this water wonderland with water-skiing, kayaking, sailing, fishing and fantastic diving to see the famed lake’s plethora of fresh water fish species - more than any other lake in the world.
Each room is individually designed in partnership with Katundu Textiles, a workshop set up on the island to empower single mothers. All the workforce come from the neighbouring villages and have been trained on site. The result - a uniquely stunning lodge with a feeling of contemporary rustic whilst ultimately chic.
