Trip itinerary

Day 1

Accommodation: 2 nights Maramboi Tented Camp.

Sitting on the shores of Lake Manyara, Maramboi is a large permanent tented camp offering game drives in both Manyara National Park and Tarangire. It shares its unique location with just one other lodge and is a lovely quiet alternative to the value lodges clustered around the north of Tarangire.

At the centre of the camp are the main mess area and swimming pool as well as a library and lounge. All enjoy enormous views across the flat plains out over the lake and beyond to the escarpment of cliffs at the far side of Manyara National Park.

Day 2

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through the national park. (BLD)

Day 3

After breakfast you will depart the Tarangire with a packed lunch and head to the Serengeti and you next stop. With a game drive on the way to your next camp you will arrive in the afternoon and have time to relax before dinner. (BLD)

SEE THE SERENGETI FROM ABOVE
Why not pre-book a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti? Whilst staying in the Serengeti you can choose to float above the open savannah for a unique perspective of the wildlife below, with superb photographic opportunities. The flight lasts about an hour and you can celebrate in the traditional manner with champagne on landing.
The price starts from AUD$650 per person. Early booking is recommended.

Accommodation: 3 nights Serengeti Kuhama Camp.

Located on the Makoma hills in the Serengeti the Kuhama camp has a total of 12 guests tents with en-suite bathroom. The camp is eco-friendly fully powered by solar energy.

The public areas include a mess tent that serves three freshly cooked meals per day and there is a small cozy lounge for guests to relax and charge their phones, camera batteries and lap tops.

Day 4 - 5

Spend the next two days exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. (BLD)

Day 6

Today you will explore the Ngorongoro Crater. Departing the Serengeti after breakfast, you will head down into the crater for a half day game drive with packed lunch to explore the scenery and wildlife of the area. After you will drive to your next accommodation. (BLD)

Accommodation: 1 night Ngorongoro Farm House.

Ngorongoro Farm House is a small and exclusive lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, only 5 kilometres from the Ngorongoro Lolduare Gate. The lodge was built to offer clients an original experience reminiscent of the atmosphere of the old days. The 52 spacious cottages are built on the style of an old colonial farm and rustically decorated with local materials and full of details of good taste, with the purpose of offering our clients an imaginary journey to the life of the days gone. Ngorongoro Farm House is a perfect stopover within any safari in the northern circuit of Tanzania and a privileged place to visit the Crater or enjoy a bunch of additional activities.

Day 7

This morning after breakfast you will depart Ngorongoro returning to Kilimanjaro. On the way you will do a stop en-route to visit a village and have a guided walk and a possible visit to the local school. Then onto Arusha for lunch before transferring to Kilimanjaro and your onward arrangements. (BL)

Please note: It is advisable to book you departing flight time for after 16h30 to ensure there is enough time for lunch and transferring to the airport.
