The Bushcamp Company offers small and intimate bush camps located in the exclusive and remote south of the iconic South Luangwa National Park. This six day safari stays at the award-winning Mfuwe Lodge just inside the main park gate, popular for the elephants that walk through the reception, and is combined with four nights between two different bush camps. Day 1 - South Luangwa National Park
On arrival at Lusaka Airport you will be met just after immigration by a representatives who will assist you with your bags and check-in onto the Proflight scheduled flight to Mfuwe Airport.
On arrival at Mfuwe Airport you will be met by a guide from the Bushcamp Company who will transfer you to the lodge. This drive will be approximately one hour.Day 2 - South Luangwa National Park
The lodge team will confirm the arrangements and timing of your transfer to the Southern part of the park today. This drive is done as a game drive transfer and will take approximately 3 hours, depending on what game you see enroute. You will spend the next two nights at Kapamba Bushcamp, exploring the area on walking safaris and game drives. (BLD)
Please note: Your final itinerary and combination of camps is chosen by the Bushcamps Company 2 weeks prior to travel.Accommodation: 2 nights Kapamba Bushcamp (or similar) - advised which camp before departure.Set on the banks of the Kapamba River, Kapamba Bushcamp’s four stone chalets have one wall that is a spider-web design of metal latticework, giving guests an amazing view of the Kapamba River. Guests can watch the frequent wild visitors to the river from the multi-level main deck, or from the comfort of their own private verandas or pool-size bathtubs. Sundowners in the river and bush dinners are popular additions to the itinerary for Kapamba stays.
Day 3 - South Luangwa National Park
Enjoy scheduled game viewing activities. (BLD)
Day 4 - South Luangwa National Park
This morning you will walk to your next Bushcamp. This walk will take approximately 3 hours. Your luggage will be sent separately by vehicle so you will need to have this ready when you meet this morning for your early morning tea/coffee before leaving camp. You will spend the next two nights at the Bushcamp exploring the area on walking safaris and game drives. (BLD)
Day 5 - South Luangwa National Park
Enjoy scheduled game viewing activities. (BLD)
Day 6 - End of Bushcamp Company Safari
Today you will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport (via Mfuwe Lodge for freshening up) for your scheduled flight back to Lusaka. (B)
On arrival at Lusaka Airport you will be met by a representative who will assist you with your bags and check-in onto your departing flight. -
