Transfer from Johannesburg Airport to Horizon Lodge in the Limpopo Province of South Africa (approximately 2.5hours) for lunch. Enjoy an introductory ride in the game reserve in search of plains game, with sundowners served at one of our picturesque hippo dams. (LD)

Set beside a tranquil lake on a private family estate, Horizon Lodge offers comfortable en-suite accommodation and a welcoming base for riders of all levels. The lodge features three separate double rooms, two lakeside suites with verandas, and a charming rondavel, along with spacious communal areas including a large lounge, dining room, and wide veranda. Guests enjoy three home-style meals daily, afternoon tea, and complimentary drinks, with dietary requirements catered for.
The reserve surrounding the lodge is home to abundant wildlife such as hippo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, jackal, hyena, crocodile, and over 300 bird species. Riding activities are flexible and personalised, with two outings each day—longer rides in the morning and shorter afternoon sessions. Additional experiences include polocrosse, cattle mustering, jumping, western games, and swimming with horses. Horizon’s relaxed, friendly atmosphere and varied riding make it a memorable and engaging safari destination.
