Located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area - situated in the Ngorongoro Crater rim valley, Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp sits amongst the region’s beautiful acacia trees. Facing south into the fernlike crown of the forest’s canopy, the camp has a unique perspective on the wow-inducing extinct-volcano landscape. Ngorongoro is home to an amazing population of predators - lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard and a large assortment of animals including zebra, buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, hippo and elephants.

Trip itinerary

Day 1

On arrival at Arusha Airport you will be met and transferred to Tanzania’s Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy lunch at Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp. The rest of your afternoon is at leisure. (D)

Accommodation: 2 nights Ngorongoro Crater Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area - situated in the Ngorongoro Crater rim valley, close to the access road into the crater, giving guests unrivalled access to the crater floor. The camp offers ten classic safari tents - each with its own en-suite bathroom and indoor bucket shower, with personal tent attendant filling your bucket shower to the perfect temperature whenever required from the outside. The tents also feature hairdryers and plug points and a small sitting area in front of each of the tents where early morning coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed before starting the day of incredible game viewing. The main common areas include a dining area, bar area and lounge area as well as comfortable sofas placed in specially-selected locations around the camp.

Day 2

Today you will drive into the Ngorongoro Crater descending over 600m to the floor. The crater covers over 250 sq kms of land and is the home to the rare black rhino, lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. (BLD)

Day 3

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred back to Arusha Airport for your onward flight. (B)
