    Day 1 - Gorilla Country

    On arrival at Kigali Airport you will be met and driven the short distance to Gisozi Genocide Memorial. Visit the moving and emotional memorial of the one million people killed in the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Then you drive to your accommodation. (D)

    Cushioned in the foothills of the breathtaking Virunga Volcano Range, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest makes the magical possible as you enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime, personal encounter with the rare and majestic mountain gorilla, roaming free in its own natural habitat.

    Offering an exclusive front-row seat to Africa’s oldest national park, you’ll be captivated as elephants, lions, exotic birds and one of the planet’s greatest array of primate species flourish before your eyes and welcome you into their world. Then retreat to your own world, a spectacular modern haven, where every creature comfort is yours to behold.

    Day 2 - Gorilla Country

    The Gorilla Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda offers one of the best locations for gorilla trekking with 10 habituated gorilla groups that you can trek to see. Starting in the cultivated land at the base of the volcanoes, the trek normally lasts a few hours. Depart after an early breakfast to Park Headquarters for the gorilla trekking formalities and briefing. The group (maximum 8 people), travel to the forest edge and commence trekking through the thick forest to see these magnificent creatures. The walking is quite steep but not overly strenuous. After spending an hour with the gorillas return to your lodge for lunch. Gorilla Permit costed separately. (BLD)

    After lunch you will be met and transferred to your Kigali hotel.(BL)

    Accommodation: 1 night Kigali Serena Hotel.

    Situated in Central Kigali, the ambassadorial and commercial heart of Rwanda and the city’s pre-eminent meeting place for diplomats and business people. The Hotel is situated only 10 km from Kigali International Airport. The accommodation comprises of 104 air-conditioned rooms from the Presidential suite, luxury suites to deluxe rooms. The elegant Diplomat Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while The Lounge Bar offers a choice of three purpose designed areas: the bar, the lounge and the terrace.

    Day 3 - End of your Gorilla Trek

    This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Kigali Airport for your onward flight (approximately 15 KM / 20 minutes). (B)
