Located on the banks of the Savuti Channel, the intimate lodge accommodates just 24 guests in thatched timber and glass suites, with a viewing deck and swimming pool. All suites at Savute have private decks, combined bedroom and sitting areas and en-suite facilities. The sitting area, library and cocktail bar are situated in an exquisite thatch and timber main building. Savute boasts a viewing deck, an al fresco dining area and swimming pool – which is ideal for watching game at the waterhole. These features set the lodge apart from other typical safari destinations. Explore the Savute Channel and dry marsh on morning and afternoon game drives by 4×4 safari vehicles. During the course of a game drive guests are escorted up Bushman Paintings Hill where early man recorded his wildlife sightings on the rocks.

Leroo La Tau has a stunning location high on a cliff on the western bank of the Boteti River and overlooking the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. With just 12 thatched chalets guests can immerse themselves seamlessly into the ultimate wildlife experience in Botswana.
The Boteti area is famous for the huge herds of zebra and wildebeest that migrate to the western border of the park in search of water and to graze on mineral rich grasslands. Game movements are never predictable but from mid May to the end of September the western Makgadikgadi Pans National Park is populated by up to 30,000 zebra and wildebeest closely accompanied by predators thus providing guests with the chance to experience the exhilaration of seeing large concentrations of game and the resultant predator interaction. Herds of up to 300 zebra and wildebeest may be viewed from the comfort of one’s suite at Leroo La Tau or from the hide that has been built into the cliff thus providing guests with some amazing photographic opportunities as game congregate along the river bank directly below the lodge. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives which are conducted on the lodge’s private concession and on communal land as well as into the Makgadikgadi National Park. Spot lit night drives are a feature. Also popular are guided nature walks in the area surrounding the lodge and a cultural excursion to the school at Khumaga Village. On stays of three nights guests may opt to go on a full day excursion to Nxai Pans National Park which is well known for its springbok population as well as large herds of up to 30 giraffe.
