Daka Plains is a rustic, yet intimate camp set in an isolated area of Hwange, allowing guests to connect with nature in its purest form. Featuring just six tents, the camp is perched on a small hill overlooking one of the few permanent water sources in the region. Due to its proximity to Botswana, wildlife viewing is particularly unique, with activities such as game drives, birding, walking safaris, and night drives in the camp’s private concession and beyond. The true appeal lies in the camp’s seclusion, where it is common to explore for hours without encountering any other vehicles.

    Day 1 - Hwange National Park

    On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport you will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. At the entrance to the Park, you will be met and continue with your game drive transfer through the Hwange National Park to the camp. (D)

    Accommodation: 2 nights Daka Plains.

    Resting on the top of the low foothills in the far north west of Hwange National Park, is Daka Plains. Probably the remotest Lodge in Hwange, this area offers guests an opportunity to walk and game drive some of the wildest areas in Southern Africa. The Lodge is situated in our own private concession in Hwange National Park so allows us the opportunity to do night drives as well. Daka Plains consists of seven units, made of thatch, local rock and canvas. Ideal for taking the whole lodge for groups, this unique place will captivate you. Big sky country is what sums up this wild area. Daka Plains overlooks the Deka floodplains and seeps which are the head waters of the Deka river.

    Day 2 - Hwange National Park

    Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing activities. (BLD)

    Day 3 - End of your Hwange National Park Safari

    Game drive transfer to the Hwange National Park gate to meet your scheduled road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport. This transfer takes approximately 2 hours. (B)
