Day 1 - Samburu National Reserve
Make your way to Wilson Airport for your scheduled light aircraft flight to Samburu, departs 10h20, arrives 11h30. On landing at the airstrip you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. (LD)
After lunch at your camp you will enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Accommodation: 3 nights Elephant Bedroom Camp.
The surrounding Samburu National Reserve is an area of spectacular scenery; its dry plains bisected by the meandering river, with the backdrop of Africa’s dramatic mountains, including Mt Kenya. The spacious tents have rustic and colourful African touches, offering all the comforts; including a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, electricity (and complimentary herbal shower and bath products.
The lounge and dining area is decorated with vibrant safari style, its soft intimate lighting assuring that this is the ultimate place to relax in between exciting game drives. Elephant, Monkeys, Impalas are amongst the camp’s many regular wild visitors, whilst Samburu National Reserve has a good number of lions and leopards and offers the opportunity to see many species endemic to northern Kenya.
Day 2 to Day 3 - Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy two full days exploring the reserve and game viewing. Samburu National Reserve covers an area of 104 square kms on the Northern bank of the Uaso Nyiro river. The reserve has a unique landscape of rounded and rugged hills and extensive plains. The Ewaso Nyiro river, lifeline of the area, runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu from Buffalo Springs reserve. A special feature of this Reserve are the various species of game unique to these northern parks – Beisa oryx, the long necked gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe and the blue shanked Somali ostrich. Over 50 species of large mammals are a common attraction. (BLD)
Day 4 - Masai Mara
Enjoy breakfast at the camp and then transfer to the airstrip to connect with your scheduled light aircraft flight to Masai Mara, departs 09h35, arrives 11h00. On arrival you will be met by a camp representative and transferred to your accommodation. (BLD)
After lunch enjoy a shared game drive through the reserve.
Accommodation: 4 nights Mara Ngenche Camp.
In a spectacular location in the heart of the Masai Mara, lies this small, intimate, luxurious and elegant Camp. Well hidden in the beautiful greenery of riverine forest, Mara Ngenche Safari Camp offers Panoramic views over the confluence of the Mara and Talek Rivers overlooking a hippo pool that is always busy with these beautiful large animals with crocodiles always in close proximity.
The incredible surroundings of the Maasai Mara makes this a spectacular safari experience. Game drives are always thrilling and are guided by qualified expert local Maasai guides in open-sided 4WDs, (with a maximum of six guest per vehicle).
Day 5 to Day 7 - Masai Mara
Spend the next three days with game viewing in the Mara or relaxing and enjoying the facilities that the camp provide. The Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of the wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities. (BLD)
Day 8 - End of your Connoisseur Signature Air Safari
An early morning game drive before breakfast, then transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the international Airport for your onward arrangements. (B)
