Full-Time: Administration Support – Reservations Team

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join Bench Africa and play a key role in establishing a new department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in travel industry administration who thrives in a dynamic environment and excels at building systems from the ground up.

In this support role, you will work closely with the Reservations team to ensure every detail of our clients’ African journeys is meticulously managed. Once payments are completed, you will perform final checks on files and bookings, confirming that flight details align seamlessly with the overall travel arrangements. You will reconfirm all bookings with suppliers across Africa, request final confirmations, and communicate any dietary or special requirements to ensure each journey meets the highest standards. Booking sheets will need to be saved with all relevant client information and organised into document folders ready for the Documentation team.

The role also involves liaising with ground operators, suppliers, and agents to address any final queries, assisting with the preparation of client documents when required, and running weekly reports to track final balances through Tourplan. Following up with agents for outstanding payments will form part of your responsibilities, as will acting as a reliable point of contact for agent and client questions—whether it’s advice on clothing, tipping, or regional information to help them prepare for travel. Your support will ensure the seamless delivery of travel arrangements and uphold Bench Africa’s reputation for expertly crafted African experiences. Familiarity with systems such as Tourplan and Wetu is preferred.

This role is primarily work-from-home, offering flexibility while being backed by a team of experienced professionals dedicated to supporting your success.
