Al Waha is Oman's first dedicated family hotel. It is the largest of the three hotels at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Sultanate of Oman. Comprising 262 guestrooms, each room provides guests with either a 5 sqm balcony or patio, with seaview or sea-facing perspectives.
The name Al Waha means "The Oasis", and has been designed such that the hotel's several swimming pools form an oasis incorporating many date palm trees.
The architecture of Al Waha is traditional Dhofari, from the southern region of Oman. Nestled at the foot of a mountain range, vehicular access has been made possible by a man-made tunnel.
Magical Muscat is a unique blend of the ancient and modern, which lies in the middle of a maze of brown pleated mountains, lulled by the Arabian Sea. The city has undergone dramatic development, however it has never lost its pride in its heritage, culture and the beautiful natural environment that surrounds it.

Day 1 - Muscat
On arrival at Muscat Airport you will be met and transferred to the Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel.

Begin a full day escorted tour in a 4X4 vehicle travelling along the Batinah coast dotted with beautiful beaches, forts and fishing villages. Visit the town of Nakhl and travel inland to the hot springs before ascending to the beautiful village of Wakkan. (BL)
Day 3 - Majestic Forts, Caves & Mountains
Today you will visit Nizwa Fort before stopping at Al Hoota Cave, one of the largest caves in the region. After lunch travel up towards Jebel Shams, the tallest peak in Oman. (BL)
Day 4 - End of Muscat Stopover
This morning enjoy a city tour that will include the Grand Mosque, the Muttrah souq, the museums and finally the Al Aalam Palace, official residence of the Sultan. Later you will be transferred to Muscat Airport for your onward flight. (B)
